7/5/25 - Loranger Area Update

07/05/2025

Attention to our Loranger area customers that were previously on the Eastern Heights System. With the assistance of the Parish, we have secured tanker trucks with pumps that have begun filling the Sweetwater tank. Once the tank is full, water service will be restored. We hope to keep the tank full using these trucks until the well is repaired. Since this is a temporary solution to allow for basic household use, we are asking everyone to conserve water as much as possible. The boil advisory is still in effect and will continue until the well is completely repaired. Please subscribe for alerts at www.tangiwater.com/subscribe to receive updates. We understand your frustrations and we are doing everything possible to have water service restored to the area.

Bottled water can be still picked up at the Loranger Fire Station daily through Monday from 8:00am-6:00pm. Customers will need to provide a water bill or proof of address when received.

As a recap, the motor on the Sweetwater pump began to experience some trouble on Wednesday afternoon. While repairing the initial issue, it was discovered that the well was pumping sand. By Thursday, the sand caused damage to the pump which created the water outage. The contractor, parts, and heavy equipment needed will be on site Monday morning to investigate and repair. We are in constant communication with our contractor, engineers, and state and local officials as we continue to work on solutions for this issue. Meanwhile construction on the new well and tank are underway. This multimillion-dollar project will help maintain adequate water supply in the future.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your continued cooperation as we complete the necessary repair.

7/3/25 - Loranger Outage

07/03/2025

Attention to our Loranger area customers that were previously on the Eastern Heights System. Unfortunately, the repair to the Sweetwater Well is still ongoing and will continue through Monday. Until the repair is completed, water outages and/or decreased water pressure are likely. Please avoid any unnecessary water usage to help prevent a complete outage. We have coordinated with the Parish to have bottled water available to the residents affected. Bottled water can be picked up at the Loranger Fire Station today from 4:00pm-6:00pm and daily through Monday from 8:00am-6:00pm. Customers will need to provide a water bill or proof of address when received. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as we complete the necessary repair.
