7/12/25 - Rescinded - Limited Precautionary Boil Advisory for the Loranger Area has been rescinded

The limited precautionary boil water advisory for the Loranger Area has been rescinded. This included customers in the following areas: Loranger area customers of the Eastern Heights System; Highway 1054 south of Clement Road to Hwy 40 going into downtown Loranger; School Road and any roads connected. The Louisiana Department of Health lab has tested the water and is safe for consumption.

Attention to our Loranger area customers that were previously on the Eastern Heights System. Just as a reminder the precautionary boil water advisory is still in effect as of today, July 11, 2025 and will continue until all samples are cleared by LDH. 7/9/25 - Loranger Area Update

Attention to our Loranger area customers that were previously on the Eastern Heights System. As of today, July 9, 2025, the Sweetwater well repair is complete; however, the precautionary boil water advisory is still in effect and will continue until all samples are cleared by LDH. Once the boil water advisory is lifted, we will post an alert to our website. The required sampling process involves sampling the well and tank separately per LDH requirements. Each sample must be cleared by LDH before collecting the next sample. Please subscribe for alerts at www.tangiwater.com/subscribe to receive updates. Attention to our Loranger area customers that were previously on the Eastern Heights System. Unfortunately, the repair to the Sweetwater Well is still ongoing and will continue through Monday. Until the repair is completed, water outages and/or decreased water pressure are likely. Please avoid any unnecessary water usage to help prevent a complete outage. We have coordinated with the Parish to have bottled water available to the residents affected. Bottled water can be picked up at the Loranger Fire Station today from 4:00pm-6:00pm and daily through Monday from 8:00am-6:00pm. Customers will need to provide a water bill or proof of address when received. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as we complete the necessary repair.
7/2/25 - Potential Eastern Heights Outage

Attention to our Loranger area customers that were previously on the Eastern Heights System. We are currently repairing an issue at Sweetwater Well. While we don’t anticipate any water outages, we want to give you notice that an outage is possible as the repair is underway. Avoiding any unnecessary water usage for the next few hours will assist in maintaining enough water to prevent a complete outage. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as we complete this necessary repair.

The limited precautionary boil water advisory has been rescinded. This included customers in the following areas: Hwy 1067 (Old Covington Hwy) from corner of S. Coburn Road EAST to Hwy 190 (near Tangipahoa River); Sontheimer Road from Carpenter’s Landing SOUTH to Robertson Road. Woodlake’s Estates Subdivision; All side streets on Old Covington EXCEPT Bennett Road. The Louisiana Department of Health lab has tested the water and is safe for consumption.
