EASTERN HEIGHTS AREA - LIMITED PRECAUTIONARY BOIL ADVISORY
Highway 1054 from Clement Road south to Highway 40; Highway 40 from Hilltop East to Sweetwater Road; East Cooper Road to corner of North Cooper Road; all side roads in listed area.
On October 15, 2025, Tangipahoa Water District Contractor was attempting to put new lines in the Loranger/Independence area and hit a 3” line causing an outage in the area.
All customers in the listed area should follow the Limited Precautionary Boil Advisory. Out of the abundance of caution and in accordance with the Louisiana Department of Health regulation, a limited precautionary boil advisory is in place.
This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by Tangipahoa Water District. It is recommended that all customers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using for food preparation or rinsing of food by the following means:
Boil water for {1} full minute in a clean container. The one-minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.)
Tangipahoa Water District will rescind the Boil Advisory upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health - Office of Public Health that additional water samples collected from our water supply system have shown our water to be safe.
Customers affected by this advisory will be advised when it is rescinded. Notices will be posted on the Tangipahoa Water District Website and social media sites. If you have any questions, please call Tangipahoa Water District at 985-345-6457.

Veterans Avenue (Hammond) from Club Deluxe south to North Oaks Drive (North Oaks Emergency Entrance). Lamonica Lane; DeMarco Lane; and any streets connected.
On October 15, 2025, Tangipahoa Water District contractor was attempting to fix a leak on the 6” main. Due to the length of time of the repair and in abundance of caution for the area, Dialysis Center, and Assisted Living Center, we will be issuing a Boil Water advisory.
All customers in the listed area should follow the Limited Precautionary Boil Advisory. Out of the abundance of caution and in accordance with the Louisiana Department of Health regulation, a limited precautionary boil advisory is in place.
